"Some criminals just aren't up to snuff."- HumorSmithOKLAHOMA CITY (Associated Press) -- A trail of tobacco spit has led investigators to a suspect in at least five burglaries across eastern Oklahoma, police said.
Randy Lee Shoopman Jr., 33, was charged with 11 counts of second-degree burglary after a sample of his DNA matched that taken from expectorant left behind at the scene of several burglaries in Oklahoma, said officer Brad Robertson, a spokesman for the Tahlequah police department.
Looks like Randy doesn't know spit about crime. How many brain cells does it take to know better than to spit chaw while you're burgling? Apparently a few more than ol' Ran possesses. It seems like basic good sense to me not to leave any bodily fluids at the scene of the crime, and that would of course include saliva.
The real problem here is many of the really talented criminals are not willing to give their time to teach the youngsters how to profit from larceny. Would it kill these guys to hold some classes so we won't have to worry about being mugged, assaulted or burgled by untrained morons? Bad enough to get your stuff taken, but then to have to clean up tobacco stains? That is beyond gross....talk about your personal violations.
Not just anybody can make a career out of crime. The industry is not rookie friendly, and there is an abysmal lack of training. The only way we are going to see a higher class of felons is if the CEOs and HR departments start a recruiting drive. A good place to look for criminal talent is politics; in fact I understand the governor of Illinois is interested in supplementing his income. Another great place to recruit is the executive lunchroom of any major mortgage or financial firm. If those guys are good enough to destroy the country's economy and empty our pockets, then make us pay them for the privilege, just think what they can teach aspiring thieves.
